Terms of Use
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These terms govern the use of the BeatRate iOS app ("BeatRate"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Service provider
BeatRate is provided by Tomasz Wojtyniak, ul. Świętego Wawrzyńca 15a/108, 60-539 Poznań, Poland. Email: wojtyniaktomek@gmail.com.
2. The service
BeatRate lets you discover albums, rate them, and save favorites. The app is free. Music information and playback come from Apple Music and, optionally, Spotify. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. BeatRate is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or Spotify.
3. Technical requirements
You need an iPhone with iOS 26 or later and an internet connection. Signing in requires an Apple Account. Playing music requires an Apple Music or Spotify account.
4. Starting and ending the agreement
The agreement starts when you first use the app and runs for an indefinite period. You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account in Settings or by deleting the app. We may end the agreement or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We will tell you why by email if we have your address.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- manipulate ratings, for example by using multiple accounts or automated tools;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its servers;
- use the app for anything illegal or to violate other people's rights.
6. Ratings
You keep ownership of your ratings. You allow us to store them and to include them, anonymously, in the average scores shown to other users.
7. Content
Album artwork, titles, and other music metadata belong to their respective rights holders and are provided through Apple Music and Spotify. The BeatRate app, name, and design belong to the provider.
8. Complaints
If something in the app doesn't work as it should, email us at wojtyniaktomek@gmail.com. Please describe the problem and include the email linked to your account, if you have one. We will reply within 14 days. This does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer regarding digital content and services.
9. Availability and liability
We try to keep BeatRate running, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause, or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and the provider, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms. Apple's Standard EULA also applies.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. We will publish the new version on this page at least 14 days before the changes take effect and let you know in the app, in the App Store release notes, or by email. If you don't accept them, you can end the agreement by deleting your account before that date.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Consumers may also use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, for example the help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (in Poland) or the consumer authorities in their country.
